On January 22 – 25, 2015, MassTech MT Explorer 50 was the choice of instrument in four presentations at the Sanibel Conference on Security and Forensic Applications of Mass Spectrometry in Clearwater Beach, FL. We wish continued success to all of our users.

MassTech is excited to report that we completed initial testing of AP MALDI HR system on Thermo Orbitrap Fusion and TSQ Quantiva. We are very excited about the results, and customers who may be interested in an AP MALDI HR for their new Thermo systems as well as Q-Exactive system can contact us for more details. On 1 June 2011, MassTech was notified of award for two Phase 2 Small Business Innovation Research grants, totalling $1.35M. The projects (NASA Proposal A3.02-8812 and Navy (NAVAIR) N8335) deal with LIDAR analysis of wind and turbulence. This makes a total of four Phase 2 SBIR grants awarded to MassTech within the past two years.

On 19 September 2006, SESI was awarded a $4.0M contract by the US Army RDECOM Acquisition Center under the Joint PEO for Chemical and Biological Defense. The award is for Phase II development of Wide-Spectrum Bio-ID, a broadband approach for rapid detection and identification of biological agents through integration of proteomics, atmospheric pressure (AP) matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS), and bio-informatics. Key partners include University of Maryland at College Park, Signature Science, and SAIC-EAI.

MassTech Inc., a provider of AP-MALDI technology for mass spectrometry, and Agilent Technologies today announced that it has signed an agreement to distribute AP/MALDI and AP/MALDI-PDF ion sources.
