One of our recent customers was Dr. Venkat Panchagnula at the National Chemical Laboratory in Pune, India (I remember the installation well!). In 2017, his team published an article which may be of some interest to AP MALDI users due to the work he did to develop a method of quantitative detection (which was then validated with an LC/MS system). In addition to quantitative analysis, the paper also shows how AP MALDI can be used for pesticide detection and how it can be applied in the field of food safety. An AP MALDI combined with a portable mass spectrometer (like our own MT50) would be a potent tool for field deployable environmental work.
